My new beardie beauties. They are adapting well to their new environment. They are still a bit skittish, but hopefully that will change with careful handling and time.
The kids desperately want to hold and pet them, but after chasing another runaway around the basement that escaped the hold of a 6 year old, I think we'll wait until they are bigger and more used to human handling.
Still trying to decide names. It's hard to pick names when I don't know the sexes. It's hard to tell when they are this small, but it chafes that I can only pick generic names until they are little over twice the size they are now. But the last time we had dragons, I named one Frodo that turned out to be a girl and one Athena (with the prettiest coloring) that turned out to be male. But then again, I had a male ferret named Zelda....of course I didn't name that one, he came to us with that name.
We chose the babies rather deliberately for their colorings/markings. The light one was the only one with that color and it just reminded me of the desert. One has broken rings all over it's tail, rings that don't go all the way around, and just was so unique. the other two had more rust colors along their back and were very dark spotted underneath. Really hope that we didn't end up with all males or all females (although out of the two I would much prefer 4 females as males can be very aggressive, especially around other males).
I'll post more pics as they grow.
